Lucidity: A Thoughtful Evolution
Our original Lucidity was a beloved Colombian offering, celebrated for its clarity, balance, and expressive character. When that lot was no longer available from the producer, we saw not an ending, but an opportunity to continue the spirit of Lucidity with the same standards of quality and intention.
The new Lucidity now comes from El Ciprés, Chiapas region of Mexico, sourced from dedicated smallholder producers and built on classic varietals. While the origin has changed, the philosophy remains the same: a coffee defined by brightness, warmth, and approachability. With vibrant citrus, gentle milk chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and brown sugar sweetness, this new expression of Lucidity delivers the same sense of clarity and refinement, just through a different terroir.
Lucidity continues, not as a fixed origin, but as a commitment to exceptional coffee and thoughtful sourcing.
Mexico — El Ciprés
“From the highlands of Mexico to your cup; bright, warm, and quietly unforgettable.”
A Story of Quiet Precision and Shared Craft
In the highlands of Mexico, where cool mountain air meets volcanic soil, indigenous coffee-producing communities in the Tenejapa region of Chiapas, cultivate coffee with a quiet, generational patience. Here, coffee is not rushed, it is stewarded. Each lot is shaped by careful hand-picking, traditional varietals, and a deep understanding of the land that sustains them.

This offering brings together a few classic varieties, Caturra, Typica, and Marsellesa, grown by independent producers whose work reflects both heritage and resilience. The result is a coffee that feels both grounded and luminous: bright citrus lifting the cup, followed by gentle notes of milk chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and warm brown sugar.
For us, El Ciprés represents what we value most in coffee: origin integrity, thoughtful farming, and flavors that speak clearly without shouting. It is a coffee that feels honest, comforting, and quietly memorable, one that reminds us why we fell in love with coffee in the first place.
